We believe every child is unique, valued, and full of potential and we’re looking for a teacher who shares that belief, to lead a specialist SEND and Nurture Hub within a mainstream primary school. The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching for pupils with social, emotional and mental health and/or special educational needs and support colleagues through expertise sharing and professional development.
The Role involves:
- Overseeing the learning and wellbeing of pupils in the SEND Hub.
- Ensure access to the National Curriculum is in line with SEND Code of Practice and Greater Manchester Ordinarily Inclusive Practice.
- Plan and teach adapted lessons, assess progress, and develop a bespoke curriculum.
- Champion inclusion and collaborate with our school SENCo, parents/carers and external agencies.
This role is perfect for someone who:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with children with special educational needs and/or children who have adverse childhood experiences.
- Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice.
- Secure knowledge of Nurturing Principles.
- Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse needs and learning styles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passionate about making a difference for all pupils.
