Summary
Hays are working with a financial services organisation based in Cardiff / Newport to recruit for a permanent Business Analyst in the IT business change team. The role offers flexible hybrid working a salary between £40,000 - £50,000 + competitive benefits including 28 days holiday + BH and 10% employer pension contribution. You'll be involved in complex data migration & finance system projects and will need experience in this space.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the link between business and technical teams, translating needs into functional specifications.
- Gather, document, and prioritise requirements; analyse processes and systems for improvements.
- Support multiple projects, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to design, implement, and validate solutions within budget and time constraints.
- Promote continuous improvement by adopting best practices and emerging technologies.
- Lead initiatives to enhance processes, tools, and methodologies for greater efficiency.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations; maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Experience required
- Experience with technical projects and data migration.
- Strong understanding of finance systems and processes.
- Proven background in financial services in a similar role.
- Skilled in managing senior stakeholders, including C-suite.
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Visio, Word, Excel).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).
- Able to adapt communication for different audiences.
