Summary
Full-time Inclusion Learning Support, Bristol Grade 6Fixed term from 5 January – 31 August 2026, 32.5 hours per week: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.30pmAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children with special educational needs?Do you have a nurturing approach and a commitment to inclusive education?If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team and would love to hear from you!We are a warm and welcoming infant school in Bristol, dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all our children. We are seeking an experienced Inclusion LSA who thrives on providing support to children with SEND, enjoys variety in their work, is able to work independently as well as part of a team and is self-motivated to develop professionally.
The mornings would involve building a positive, trusting relationship with a Year 2 child with SEMH needs in order to re-engage them in classroom learning. You would work under the direction of the class teacher, with guidance from the SENCo and external agencies.
The afternoons would see you working as part of a team in Shooting Stars, our enhanced provision class for children with autism. Learning would be delivered under the direction of class teachers in line with the children’s Education Health and Care Plans to support their communication, social, emotional and academic development.
A job share would be considered based on a morning / afternoon role split.Your role will involve:
• Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
• Assisting with classroom activities and sensory-based learning
• Supporting children with personal care and emotional regulation
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
