Summary
You will be employed by the trust which consists of five schools led by Sidney Stringer Academy. The schools are Radford Primary Academy, Ernesford Grange Community Academy, Riverbank Academy (Special School), Sidney Stringer Primary School and Sidney Stringer Academy.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual for the pivotal role of Learning Support Assistant Literacy & Numeracy Intervention Specialist. This role is widely regarded as an invaluable stepping stone for professionals serious about a career in education. You will gain specialist experience that prepares you for rapid progression. We are the lead school for the Coventry SCITT (School Centre for Initial Teacher Training). Many of our LSAs transition directly into teaching through PGCE or School Direct courses, leveraging the rich, practical experience gained here.You will be joining a large, motivated, and supportive learning support team where your primary expertise will be integral to student success.
This LSA role is a specialist position focused on designing, delivering, and tracking targeted literacy and numeracy interventions. Your expertise will be crucial in building the foundational skills necessary for students to access the wider secondary curriculum.
Nearly 22% of the students at the Academy are identified as having SEND. You will be integral to ensuring that all students have equal access to a broad and balanced curriculum, making a real difference every single day to the most vulnerable learners.Working hours35 hours per week - term time only plus 5 days
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm

To plan, deliver, and evaluate high-impact learning programmes and activities specifically focused on developing core literacy and numeracy skills for individuals and groups, including those with special educational needs (SEND). This work is expected to drive accelerated progress and may take place in the classroom or in other teaching areas.
