Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a dynamic, hands-on role with variety and responsibility?
Our client is seeking a Regional Maintenance Engineer (Level 2 Electrical) to join their Tech-In-Van service in the SW Area, providing high-quality reactive and proactive maintenance across multiple retail stores in your allocated region. You’ll play a key role in keeping stores safe, functional, and compliant with Health & Safety standards — all while working with a supportive, professional team.

Are you the right person for the job?
• Ideally based in or near Exeter, covering the SW region on a scheduled basis
• Qualified electrician (City & Guilds Electrical Installations Part 1 & Part 2, or 5-year NVQ equivalent)
• Able to undergo DBS check
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) knowledge
• CSCS accredited
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Electrical & Plumbing maintenance
• Skilled in Carpentry, Minor Brickwork, Painting & Decorating, and general handyman tasks
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
• Clean, valid UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)
• Ability to use a mobile phone/tablet to complete and upload daily work reports
What will your role look like?
• Proactively visit your regional stores to maintain and repair equipment, fixtures, and store fabric
• Attend emergency reactive calls to meet client SLA requirements
• Carry out electrical, plumbing, carpentry, minor brickwork, painting, and handyman tasks as needed
• Manage and maintain van stock, reporting usage via a bespoke online system
• Liaise with store managers to ensure works are completed and logged accurately
• Provide detailed reports for further works or quotes where required
• Deliver excellent customer service while supporting the Account Delivery Team
This role involves extensive travel across your region, with occasional overnight stays away from home.
