Summary
Job Purpose:

As a stock Retail Assistant you will support the Retail Manager in delivering a high-quality pre-loved sustainable retail experience for our customers. The role will suit anyone with previous retail/stock/warehousing experience - Maintaining stock levels with some heavy lifting also a strong focus on ensuring sales targets are met while maintaining excellent customer service and an engaging shopping environment. Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to support our team of shop volunteers .
Main Responsibilities:
Manage the receipt, sorting, of donated goods.
Co-ordinate the collection and delivery of donations.
Loading and unloading of furniture for collections and deliveries
Supervise and support volunteers and students.
Process sales transactions using an EPOS system.
Ensure adequate stock levels on the shop floor.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation, ensuring the professional presentation of the store and efficiency of the sorting room.
Uphold health and safety standards at all times and participate in relevant training.
Additional Information:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with retail/stock or warehousing experience and strong customer service skills.
To work 4 days over a flexible rota including weekends
Essential Criteria:
Experience:
Previous experience in a retail/warehousing or a stock control environment is essential
Experience interacting with a diverse customer base.
Physically fit - Role is physically demanding
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
Ability to use an EPOS system and basic computer knowledge.
Managing tasks in a busy retail setting.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take on a wide variety of responsibilities.
Requirements:
A flexible approach to work
Proactive sales mindset with a commitment to meeting targets.
Friendly and approachable with strong customer service skills.
Physically fit to regularly handle and transport stock, including bags of donations and furniture across multiple floors.
