Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join our multidisciplinary team. You will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and delivering evidence-based interventions to children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN). Working closely with families, carers, educators, and other professionals, you will help ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments using standardised tools and observations
• Develop and deliver tailored therapy programmes for children and young people with a range of communication difficulties
• Provide advice, training, and consultation to parents, carers, teachers, and other professionals to support communication development in everyday settings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues (psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, educators) to create integrated care plans
• Monitor and evaluate progress, adapting interventions as required
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with professional and legal standards
• Contribute to service development, research, and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in regular supervision and continuing professional development activities

Qualifications and Skills
• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) (desirable)
• Experience working with children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs (experience in trauma, developmental delay, or special educational needs desirable)
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions and approaches for SLCN
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with children, families, and professionals
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
