Summary

Job Title: Skilled Wood Machinist
Location: Birmingham, B19 3JY
Hours: Full Time – 39 hours per week (flexible start between 6:00–6:30am, early finish on Fridays)
Rate: £15.00 per hour rising to £15.83 after 3-month probation

About the Role

Are you a skilled Wood Machinist looking to join a passionate, friendly team? This is your chance to work on bespoke, high-quality projects using a variety of timbers and materials. You’ll be working in a well-equipped workshop, operating a range of machinery, including:

• Panel saw

  
  

• Cross cut saw

  
  

• Multi-rip saw

  
  

• 6-block moulder planer

  
  

• Spindle moulders

  
  

• Wide belt sander

  
  

• Surfacer

  
  

  If you take pride in your work and enjoy producing precision-crafted pieces, this could be the perfect role for you. Forklift experience is a bonus, but not essential.

  What We’re Looking For

  Essential:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role

    
    

  • Excellent attention to detail

    
    

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

    
    

  • Ability to manage multiple jobs under pressure

    
    

    Desirable:

    • CNC router experience

      
      

    • Forklift truck experience

      
      

    • Positive, can-do attitude
