Post Title: Community Support Officer
Location: Wick, Golspie, or Dingwall
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term until 30 June 2027
Salary: £40,021 - £43,388 per annum

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: To support engagement activity related to the implementation of the Community Empowerment Act and the Council’s ‘Placed Based approach’, including developing local relationships and networks with community bodies.

To provide support and build capacity amongst local community groups to enable greater involvement and participation in local planning and engagement activity. To support groups to take on local assets and develop resilience approaches in order to support the delivery of local priorities.

The post will be part of the Community Support and Engagement team and will work across the North and East area. The post holder will work as part of the wider area-based team to support projects and activity across the area.

Requirements

Demonstrate through experience of working in an equivalent job role, evidence of degree level of educational ability

OR

Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification

Driving licence and/or access to personal transport
