Summary

About the Role

This key role, working as a member of the Security Control Room Team, will give you the chance to make a real contribution to improving public safety.

Our team monitor public space CCTV cameras, handle out of hours calls, manage access within the Bath City Centre Security Zone, 24/7 365 days a year. You will work with our partners, including the police, city marshals, and other Council departments to help prevent, detect, and reduce crime and disorder within B&NES.

Please note that this position requires full NPPV-level 2 police vetting and the ability to obtain SIA CCTV Licence. Full training will be provided.

You will play a vital role in fulfilling our council's objectives:

We need someone who is flexible and can work shifts, including unsociable hours during nights, weekends, and bank holidays, to support the team rota. You will need to be proactive and able to cope with conflicting demands to prioritise your work and are able to use your own initiative in solving problems. Proficiency with IT is a must, along with excellent customer service and communication skills, and experience in accurate record keeping.
