Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Lead Administrator to work in our CAMHS Children in Care Team. You will be carrying out and supervising the day-to-day administration tasks for referrals to the team. The post is for 22.5 hours, ie 3 days a week 9am - 5pm (0.6wte). You will be based at Wokingham Hospital and ideally 1 day a week at Erlegh House, University of Reading.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills; have the ability to multi-task and prioritise, be familiar with the Trust computer systems and have very good IT skills. You will need to be efficient in using Teams, Outlook, Excel and Word packages.
The CAMHS CiC service aims to improve life chances of Children in Care (CIC), by working towards increasing these resiliency factors:
• Supporting trauma informed care
• Creating stability of the Child or Young person’s home placement
• CYP able to maintain a relationship with family members and work to be re-united where that is possible
• Fostering as strong an attachment as possible with the CYP foster carers or adults responsible for their care (if in a residential setting)
• Reaching as high as possible Education achievements
• Creating local social networks, forming positive and meaningful relationships with peers and other adults
• You will deal with telephone enquiries from patients, carers, staff and other professionals in a careful and sensitive way and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Using e Roster system to input annual leave requests and sickness absence.
• Liaising with Estates/IT and other services to resolve daily issues.
• To support the Business Support Manager, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
• Helping with the recruitment and induction of new administrative staff and supporting new starters/clinical trainees.
• Preparing documentation and collating data and agenda for the Team Business Meeting.
• Minute taking and distribution, following up on actions and being aware of meeting deadlines.
• Input confidential correspondence, produce requested reports and other documentation to a high standard within an agreed timescale using software packages.
• You will be expected to act on your own initiative to ensure the effective running of the service, prioritising your own workload with guidance from the Team Lead and Business Support Manager.

The “must haves” for this role:
• Ensure all office systems are maintained to a high standard, both electronic and hard copy, across the service, developing systems to ensure that services run smoothly through having well planned and organised administrative systems and processes in place.
• To be the central point of contact and maintain relationships across the service, assisting the team in the development and maintenance of efficient and effective office procedures.
• European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent knowledge and experience of using a variety of software programmes, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams.
• Excellent digital typing skills.
