Summary


We are seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive Receptionist/Team Administrator to join our dedicated team supporting the Children, Families and All Age Neurodiversity (CFAAN) services. Based at the Child Development Centre at St Mark’s Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming environment and smooth administrative operations for children, families, and professionals.


Our core working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00 but we can offer flexibility around this.

• Front-of-House Service: Be the first point of contact for patients, families, staff, and partner organisations, providing a warm and professional welcome.

• Reception & Communication: Manage reception areas, greet and assist patients, handle telephone and email enquiries, and support visitors in navigating the building.

• Administrative Support: Schedule and manage patient appointments, maintain electronic records (RIO), upload documents, process mail, and assist clinical teams with admin tasks.
• Information & Records Management: Ensure accurate data entry, maintain filing systems, update patient demographics, and adhere to Trust policies.

• Supplies & Facilities: Monitor and maintain stock levels of stationery, clinical resources, and service-user supplies; ensure reception and clinical areas are clean, safe, and well-equipped.

• Team Support: Provide admin support to colleagues, contribute to audits and service improvements, and act as a reliable information resource.

• Customer Care & Problem Solving: Communicate effectively in challenging situations, manage complaints professionally, and uphold Trust values in all interactions.
• Training & Development: Complete mandatory training and engage in ongoing professional development.

• Confidence using IT systems, including electronic patient records

• Experience in a reception or administrative role (preferably in a healthcare setting)
