Summary
A lady is looking for a female self-employed personal assistant (subject to employment status check, own contract and insurance), to support her to access the community and enjoy more social opportunities.
The PA should have a good understanding of learning disabilities and diabetes, to be able to support this lady to manage her sugar levels when required. An awareness of epilepsy, depression and arthritis would also be desirable.
This role will involve driving her to various places within the community such as Bingo, shopping centres and going for meals out, amongst many other places. The PA therefore must have their own car and a full, clean driving licence. Mileage charges are to be disclosed by the PA upon application for the role.
The PA should be patient, supportive, and take time to build a strong relationship with this lady as it is very important to her that she is able to receive this support from someone she trusts.
The hours are to be used flexibly across the week (not Mondays), and the amount of hours used in each session is likely to change each week depending where this lady would like to visit. PA to work flexibly with her to ensure available hours suit her needs.
Enhanced DBS check must be in place.
