The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive CMM Programmer to develop and execute precise measurement programs within a fast-paced aerospace environment. You will play a key role in metrology process optimisation, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities

Metrology Process Optimisation:

  • Create best-practice measurement programming.


  • Use PC-DMIS to streamline workflows and improve data analysis.


  • Apply first-principle inspection techniques to optimise accuracy and efficiency.


    Equipment Management & Utilisation:

    • Operate and maintain recently acquired CMMs to maximise capability.


    • Develop best practices for calibration, upkeep, and utilisation.


      Nesting Solution Design & Implementation:

      • Design and implement effective nesting solutions to improve material and production efficiency.


      • Develop quick-load mechanisms to reduce downtime and increase throughput.


        Quality Assurance & Compliance:

        • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.


        • Implement robust quality control measures to identify deviations and drive corrective actions.


          Cross-Functional Collaboration:

          • Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to support development and manufacturing.


          • Act as a metrology subject matter expert, providing guidance where required.


            Required Qualifications
            • 3+ years’ experience in metrology (aerospace preferred).


            • Proficient in CMM operation and programming, ideally PC-DMIS.


            • Strong understanding of first-principle inspection and metrology best practices.


            • Proven leadership or team-influencing experience.


            • Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering beneficial but not essential.


            • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
