Opportunities to gain experience in other specialties such asITUand/orAnesthetics,Paediatrics,AcuteMedicine andTraumaandOrthopedicswhichallowsan opportunityforcareerprogressionandthepossibilitytoapplyfor Pathway Portfolio inEmergencyMedicine.
Pay:12.5PAs(ofwhich1SPA/week).
Therotaoffersanexcellentwork-lifebalanceallowingannualleavespellsofuptothreeweeks.Therota alsoallowsprotectedweeklyteachingsessionsandanewjournalclubisbeingsetupbyourFCEMconsultants

ColchesterEDisaMajorTraumaUnitwithahelipadinfrontofthedepartmentandhascloselinkswithEmergencyDepartment/MajorTraumaCentreatAddenbrooke’sHospitalinCambridge.
CLINICAL
ThesuccessfulcandidatewillbeclinicallyresponsibletotheConsultantsforthereception,resuscitation,diagnosis,andinitialtreatmentofallemergenciesinthemainEmergencyDepartment. Thereisthesameresponsibilityforclinicaldecisionsonappropriateadmissionofpatientsintohospitalbedstospecialunitsorotherhospitals,toout-patientclinics,ortothecareofthefamilydoctor.
