Summary
Preparation of freshly produced meals which are sent out with drivers hot and ready to eat. Must have knowledge/ability to follow picking list in order to produce approximately 190 meals per day for customers in the community.
Distributing meals to 7 drivers – ensuring correct meals are dispatched, drivers leave site at 11.15 so meals need to be portioned and ready for drivers by11.00am
Team management – 2 catering assistants
• MUST be comfortable and confident to work alone in kitchen
• Key holder responsibilities
• All standard records to be kept up to date
• Report any defects, short fall of stock etc
• Knowledge of allergens essential
• Food Hygiene cert level 2
• Computer skills
Example menu:
* one meat main plus one vegetarian main option or Jacket and filling of the day . we also cater for soft and pureed diet.
* Hot dessert- eg fruit pie, Bakewell tart, toffee sponge – custard/vanilla sauce/butterscotch sauce ( all made in house)
Tea meals – approx. 30 daily- only need to make cakes for these
Hours:- Daily shift hours would be 07:00 - 12:00. Possible weekend cover if required.
