Summary
Full Time, Fixed Term Maternity Cover for up to 1 Year
35 hours per week (1 FTE)
Salary: £41,833 - £50,359 per annum
UHI Perth is one of Scotland’s leading colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.
We are currently looking for a Lecturer - New Opportunities to deliver a range of courses including SQA Levels 3–5, ASDAN, and additional awards such as the John Muir Award. Every unit focuses on personal and social development and building essential life skills.
What we are looking for:
• A commitment to supporting young people who face barriers to education.
• Experience working with internal and external partners to enhance the student experience.
• Teaching experience with excellent communication skills.
• Strong teamwork, planning, and organisational abilities.
• Self-motivation and initiative.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will currently be working within or have experience of Further and/or Higher Education and will be able to provide specialist knowledge to contextualise the learning and teaching.
The candidate will be educated to degree level and/or have an equivalent professional qualification or experience. A knowledge of online Virtual Learning Environments is desired, but training will be provided.
