This rewarding role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on children with a range of special educational needs, behavioural challenges and diffulties in regulating emotions.
About the Role:As a SEND Child Support Worker, you’ll work closely with pupils who require extra support due to additional learning, communication, sensory, or social needs. Your role will involve:

Providing one-to-one and small group support to KS3 and KS4 children with SEND

Helping pupils access learning and participate fully in classroom activities
-
Supporting children with emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction
-
Using visual aids, structured routines, and sensory strategies to meet individual needs
-
Assisting with personal care when required

Creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where children can build confidence and independence

Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents
We’re Looking For:The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children in SEND settings, hospitals, schools, nurseries, or alternative provisions, and will:

Bring patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children

Be confident working with pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs, or developmental delays

Understand the value of structure, clear communication, and consistency

Be reliable, resilient, and committed to helping children achieve their full potential

Be open to learning new skills and support strategies
