Summary
Shift Maintenance Engineer – Electrically Biased
Location: Blackpool, FY3 7AE
Shifts: Panama/Continental pattern, 24/7 coverage (Days & Nights – 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)
We’re Fox’s Burton’s Companies (FBC UK) – the home of iconic brands like Maryland, Fox’s, Jammie Dodgers and Rocky. Our biscuits are loved nationwide, and now we’re looking for a talented Shift Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team in Blackpool.
This is more than a maintenance role – it’s your chance to be part of a fast-paced FMCG environment where every day brings new challenges. You’ll keep our production lines running at their best, tackling electrical and mechanical issues head-on, and ensuring our biscuits meet the highest standards. From planned maintenance to rapid repairs, you’ll be the expert who makes sure downtime is kept to a minimum.
You’ll work with advanced machinery – ovens, conveyors, mixers, weighers, baggers – diagnosing faults, delivering solutions, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll also support changeovers and start-ups, making sure everything runs smoothly. Your skills will help us stay ahead in a competitive market, and your proactive approach will make a real impact.
At FBC UK, we care about our people as much as our brands. We invest in your growth with funded development opportunities, offer flexible overtime, and provide a benefits package designed to support your well-being and future. With 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension contributions, recognition schemes, and even a family fun day every August, we make sure you feel valued.
If you’re a time-served engineer with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, experienced in high-speed manufacturing, and confident in electrical fault-finding, we want to hear from you. Bring your resilience, problem-solving skills, and team spirit to a company that’s passionate about quality, innovation, and giving back with purpose.
