Job Description:
A lovely school in the Carlisle area is looking for a classroom assistant to join their team. You will be part of a dedicated team who are enthusiastic, caring and nurturing. We welcome people from all backgrounds who have the right mind set and commitment to supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEND)
What the role involves:
- Provide classroom support
- Working 1-1 or in small groups with SEND children
- Contribute to a calm, safe, and inclusive school environment
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children/A dults with complex needs or disabilities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- To work in a safe and nurturing environment
- Opportunity to make an real impact on a child's day to day learning
Helpful Backgrounds & Qualifications:
- A background in education, care, health or youth support
- Knowledge or experience with SEND environments
- Hard working, creative and willingness to learn
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm
Term-time only
Open to both full-time and part-time applicants
Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
