Key responsibilities of the Behaviour Support Worker position include:
- Implementing individualised behaviour support plans, using evidence-based approaches to manage and reduce challenging behaviours
- Building positive relationships with individuals, their families, and carers to ensure a holistic approach to support
- Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and community participation
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation, including incident reports and behaviour monitoring charts
- Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to review and update support plans as necessary
- Promoting a person-centred approach that respects the rights, choices, and dignity of every individual
To be considered for this rewarding role, you should hold a relevant qualification in health and social care, such as an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be beneficial, as the role may involve travel within the local community.
