Our client, a leading educational institution in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons across various subjects
- Working with individual students or small groups to provide targeted support and guidance
- Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents
- Helping to create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Contributing to the development of individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
- Participating in extracurricular activities and school events as required
- Attending relevant training and professional development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary or secondary school setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Proficiency in using technology to support learning
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting student success
