Summary

For these B3 Senior Rehabilitation Support Worker posts we are looking for candidates who thrive working in busy clinical environments and who want to support neuro-rehabilitation patients, to regain, or maintain their independence, through therapeutic intervention. UHS is a fast-paced acute ward environment where effective communication, prioritisation, and delegation skills are needed to support safe and timely discharges. You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team consisting of OT, Physio, Dietitian and Speech and Language Therapist, taking direction from the team according to the patients need and treatment plans. What youll doThis job role involves: Assessing and treating patients with a wide range of conditions and needs Working alongside qualified therapists and other support staff Manual handling, including fitting of equipment Supporting patients with mobility and self-care, which may include personal care and toileting. Were looking for someone who: Demonstrates care and compassion. Is comfortable working in an acute and busy ward environment Can stay calm and make appropriate decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Is happy working alone, as well as in a team. For this specific specialist role, you also need the following: Essential skills: Clear communication skills, both verbal and written Able to support patients with personal care in a ward environment Knowledge and understanding of NHS systems. Clear expressed desire to work in acute rehabilitation, and within UHS, on your application form.
