A day in the life of a Murphy Environmental Advisor
- Supporting the day-to-day environmental management of works associated with construction activities
- Liaising with site teams, clients, stakeholders and the wider environmental team
- Conduct environmental inspections and audits
- Interpreting data and writing detailed reports
- Keeping up to date with the most recent changes in environmental law
- Creating waste management datasets
- Ensuring that biodiversity recommendations are met on site and protected species are undisturbed
- Reviewing relevant documents, including risk assessments, management plans, method statements and evidence relating to all proposed work activities
- Conducting tool-box talks or other environmental briefings to site personnel and sub-contractors
- Liaising with stakeholders and local authorities as required
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Joint Venture policies and processes.

- Proven experience of carrying out site audits / inspection and provision of environmental reports
- Knowledge of implementing environmental controls to meet DCO/planning conditions
- Competence in leading investigations into environmental incidents
- Ability to train others on environment management systems and processes (e.g. EMS, TBTs)
- Some experience of waste management and KPI reporting
- Mathematical knowledge
- Ability to think analytically and critically
