Your new role
You'll work from their Devon-based office, leading a small team of junior members of staff. Eventually, you'll have input on recruitment to further grow the Devon Team. Some key responsibilities include…
- Leading a diverse range of habitat and protected species surveys
- Producing high-quality reports, including PEAs, EcIAs, and management plans
- Providing planning, mitigation, and licencing advice to clients
- Mentoring junior consultants and contributing to team development
- Working with purpose-led clients across sectors such as infrastructure, energy and residential
- Driving innovation in biodiversity net gain, nature-based solutions, and ecological strategy
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven confidence and experience in environmental consultancy
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, sometimes in remote locations
- The ability to plan, manage and deliver ecological surveys / projects
- Full UK driving licence and use of a car.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience preparing fee proposals.
- Experience undertaking risk assessments.
- Be able to manage and analyse data.
- Experience using GIS Mapping (ideal)
- Holder of a protected species licence (ideal)
