Summary

Join our team as an End of Defects Co-ordinator! We're looking for a dedicated and highly organised End of Defects Co-ordinator to join our Quality and Post Construction team. This exciting new role offers the chance to shape processes and help deliver an outstanding customer experience for our new-build homes.

As our End of Defects Co-ordinator, you will act as the main point of contact for all Handover and End of Defects matters on new-build homes. You'll provide a high-quality customer care service, resolving defects while supporting the collection and analysis of defect performance data, reporting on trends, and assisting with the effective handling of customer complaints.

You'll work closely with colleagues, contractors, and customers to ensure defects are resolved efficiently and professionally, providing a smooth transition from handover to completion. This is a collaborative role with opportunities to make it your own, develop your skills and contribute to innovative solutions to make a difference.

Some of your duties will include:
-Arrange and co-ordinate End of Defects inspections with customers at the end of 12-month Defects Liability Period

-Arrange any follow up work with the contractor as appropriate and ensure all End of Defects certification and documentation is received

-Monitor jobs reported with contractors and ensure defects are completed within target timescales

-Maintain excellent communication between the contractor or developer, Platform and the customer at all times

-Understand the financial and contractual implications of End of Defects and Issuing of Making Good Defects Certificates (MGDC)

What we're looking for:
-Experience in the housebuilding industry, particularly in End of Defects roles, with strong knowledge of defects management

-Technical understanding of housebuilding and a mindset focused on improving services

-Proven ability to work collaboratively with developers, contractors, customers, colleagues, and external organisations

-Proactive, organised, and confident in managing priorities within a high-performing team environment
