Job Description
The London Borough of Bexley is seeking Employer Engagement Advisors (EEA) to join the Economic Development & Skills team within Place > Housing & Strategic Planning. These temporary roles will support vacant posts, helping residents overcome barriers to employment and connecting them with sustainable job opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with businesses and partner organisations to source employment opportunities for registered BBE clients, including paid roles, work tasters, and working interviews.

Deliver employability support using both Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) models.

Engage directly with employers through visits, calls, emails, and Teams meetings to bring in targeted vacancies.

Support local businesses with recruitment by promoting vacancies, CV matching, shortlisting, and organising assessment centres, employer sessions, and interviews.

Initiate and foster new relationships with local businesses across sectors to capture sustainable vacancies.

Maintain existing employer relationships through account management, regular contact, and site visits.

Contribute to business networking by attending job fairs, arranging employer events, and sector-based open days.

Collaborate with Employment Advisor teams to market clients, including those further removed from the labour market, to employers.

Promote clients through the BBE Talent Pool and deliver employment support activities such as “Market Place” and “Sub Fest.”

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and advise employers appropriately.

Ensure accurate completion and monitoring of company contacts, vacancies, interviews, and outcomes, including job placement success.

Monitor performance, report risks, and contribute to the delivery of programme outcomes.

Uphold GDPR and Freedom of Information legislation in dealings with employers, clients, and file maintenance.

Requirements:

Experience in employer engagement, recruitment, or employability support.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills with employers, partners, and clients.

Knowledge of employment legislation and supported employment models (IPS/SEQF).

Ability to meet targets and manage workloads effectively.

Flexibility to support occasional out-of-hours working for client job starts and key events.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of service users.

Ideally located within one hour of the Civic Offices by public transport.
