Summary

We’re seeking a motivated Façade Engineer to join a respected building envelope team based in Birmingham, supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and public-sector projects.
About the Role
You’ll play a key role in the technical delivery of façade engineering services, contributing to design development, performance analysis, and site-level quality assurance. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, technical detail, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development of façade designs, specifications, and performance criteria.
Carry out engineering calculations, thermal assessments, structural checks, and material evaluations.
Prepare technical reports, design review notes, and project documentation.
Work with architects, contractors, and manufacturers to resolve façade-related challenges.
Undertake site visits and inspections to monitor workmanship and compliance.
Assist senior engineers in delivering projects across all RIBA stages.
About You
Degree in Façade Engineering, Structural/Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
Previous experience in façade design, façade consultancy, or building envelope engineering.
Good understanding of key façade systems including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing, and specialist materials.
Familiarity with UK building regulations, CWCT guidance, and relevant standards.
Strong analytical skills and attention to technical detail.
Effective communicator with an interest in collaborative team environments.
Desirable Skills
Experience with thermal modelling or condensation risk analysis.
Knowledge of fire performance requirements and façade testing standards.
Competency with 3D modelling or drawing software (e.g., Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD).
