Summary
Lead, inspire, and shape the future of our youngest learners at Little Thorpies Nursery! This
full-time, all-year-round position offers the chance to head a passionate nursery team,
providing high-quality Early Years care and education across the calendar year. As Nursery
Leader, you’ll create a nurturing and stimulating environment, support staff development, and
work closely with families to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
REPORTING TO: HEAD OF PREP / NURSERY MANAGER
RESPONSIBLE FOR: NURSERY STAFF, STUDENTS, VOLUNTEERS, AND KEY WORKER RESPONSIBILITIES
HOURS: PART TIME (flexible)
ALL-YEAR-ROUND ROLE, (50 WEEKS PER YEAR, EXCLUDING ANNUAL LEAVE ENTITLEMENT)
Purpose of Role
To lead the provision of high-quality early years care and education in line with the
statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Keeping Children Safe in
Education (KCSIE), and the ethos of the school. The Nursery Leader will ensure a safe, nurturing,
stimulating and inclusive environment where all children thrive, supporting both their
learning and wellbeing.
This is a permanent, part-time position based on an all-year-round nursery provision.
