We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced teacher to join the Cramond Primary leadership team as Principal Teacher with a remit on promoting Wellbeing, Equalities & Inclusion.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead and champion wellbeing across our school, ensuring that every child is included, nurtured and able to thrive. Working closely with the Depute Head Teacher and the Support for Learning Team, the successful candidate will support learners and families to overcome barriers to learning, foster positive relationships and drive improvement in line with national and school priorities.
You will model excellent classroom practice and contribute strategically to whole-school developments aligned with HGIOS4 Quality Indicator 3.1 and the National Improvement Framework measures of Attainment, Engagement, Inclusion and Wellbeing.
Your role is also to coordinate a wide range of physical activity, clubs, and sporting opportunities within and beyond the school day. Your remit will liaise with Active Schools, community partners, and staff to enhance opportunities for pupil achievements within and out with the school day.
Essential:
- GTCS registered teacher with a minimum of five years' teaching experience
- Proven record of high-quality learning and teaching and positive impact on pupil outcomes
- Strong knowledge of GIRFEC, wellbeing indicators, inclusive education and effective partnership working
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a nurture-based approach
Desirable:
- Experience working with multi-agency teams and experience in delivering targeted interventions.
- Experience of promoting community links, ensuring wider participation in sports, activities and after school clubs.
Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
