Hays is partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business to recruit an Operational Support Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation and play a key role in shaping operational systems and processes.
Your new role
You will lead operational excellence initiatives across manufacturing operations, ensuring systems and processes scale effectively to support continued growth. This is a varied position combining hands-on operational management with strategic systems development. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the end-to-end customer order process to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
- Developing sales forecasts and production schedules in collaboration with commercial and production teams
- Driving continuous improvement in operational systems, including ERP platforms
- Creating and maintaining KPI reporting frameworks to provide actionable insights
- Overseeing supply chain coordination, ensuring material availability and optimising inventory levels
- Building strong supplier relationships and managing supply chain risk
- Leading and developing an administrative team, with scope to expand the function as the business grows
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in manufacturing operations or supply chain management
- Strong systems aptitude with ERP experience
- Demonstrated ability to deliver process improvements and implement change
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Experience managing or coordinating across multiple stakeholders
- Clear and confident communicator at all levels
