Job Title: Healthcare Assistant
Location: Dartford, Gravesend, Longfield, and surrounding areas
Reporting to: Registered Manager and Care Coordinator
Setting: Client’s Homes
Shifts: Monday to Friday. Alternate weekends. Flexibility desired.
Type: Contract
Pay: Salary from £13.20 to £13.75 per hour

Purpose of the role:
You will be assisting in the direct care of all aspects of a client’s assessed needs, so we are looking for passionate, considerate people to join our Healthcare and Nursing assistants’ team to help us make a positive difference in people’s lives every day. Requirements:
• Available to work one shift every other weekend
• A full UK driver’s license with a vehicle that is road-taxed and insured.
• A right to work in the UK

• Able to uphold dignity, respect, independence, and confidentiality
• Good at listening and understanding body language

• Complete any training that is given
• We are committed to safeguarding. An enhanced DBS is required for this post, and applicants must be willing to undertake a DBS check
Key Responsibilities:
● Clearly communicate and liaise with the office staff regarding your attendance, travelling, and responsibilities
● Provide emotional and social support
● Write correct, honest, and accurate reports
● Assist and administer medication, including monitoring diabetes and blood pressure
● Assist with hygiene: showering, washing, bathing, dressing, undressing
● Assist with the mobility of a client, including the appropriate use of equipment such as hoists and standing aids, moving about their home, and getting out and about
● Continence support
● Hair and nail care
● Assist with nutrition/ hydration needs, such as preparing meals and drinks; assisting those unable to feed themselves; ensuring each client receives quality meals/ diets they have requested/ food which is suitable for their needs
● Carefully read care plans to be aware of an individual’s needs
○ Care plans and visit details are reviewed on a platform which you are trained to use
Training:
● You don’t need to have previous experience in care work, but if you do, we offer fast-track induction training for those who qualify. T’s and C’s apply.
● Training will be given to anyone new to the industry. Once you have completed your training, you will shadow one of our experienced care heroes until you feel comfortable on your own
● Full training is given to gain a care certificate
