About The Role

We are recruiting Female Full and Part-Time Rehabilitation Assistants to join a brand-new care team, supporting a female client living in her family home with her husband and children. This lady has:

An Acquired Brain Injury
Poor sensation and nerve damage / dizziness
Poor memory retention
Low mood
Experiences a lot of pain
A full UK driving licence (one which enables you to drive a manual vehicle) is essential, as you’ll be driving the client’s vehicle.

The family speak Urdu and Hindu and are of Islamic Faith , therefore bilingual applicants are especially welcome.

This lady requires support with mobilising and personal care/continence. Support is also required with meal preparation and other household chores. Previous experience in Mental Health Support would be advantageous. There is a rehabilitation plan in place that you will support this lady with.

There is a cat in the home, so pet care could also be involved.

Responsibilities As a Support Worker, you will:

Work on a rota basis (weekdays & weekends, day shifts and sleep shifts)
Support daily living at home and in the community
Encourage participation in activities such as cooking, gardening, visiting friends, shopping and family day trips
Collaborate with a dedicated care team to deliver high-quality support

Shift Times
Day shifts - 0700 - 1900
Night shift (Sleep Shifts) - 1900 - 0700

What We’re Looking For - We want Support Workers who are:

Trustworthy, reliable and dependable
Experienced in Complex Care
Strong team players but also confident working independently
Proactive, adaptable and positive in different situations
Outgoing and active, with a respectful approach to care
Preferably bilingual (English/Urdu/Pakistani/Hindi)
Non-smokers (this is a completely non-smoking household)
Strong English skills are essential.
Experience in communication support or cognitive rehabilitation is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
