Maintenance EngineerOxfordshire & BridgendAbout the RoleOur Client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support two manufacturing sites. You’ll ensure machinery and equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, with a focus on preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and continuous improvement. Travel to Bridgend is required twice per month, with occasional out-of-hours support for urgent issues.Key Responsibilities
Maintain service schedules and ensure compliance with legal, warranty, and insurance requirements.
Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
Liaise with approved subcontractors for specialist repairs.
Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.
Manage critical spares and maintain accurate records.
Work closely with Production, Facilities, Safety, and Engineering teams.
Skills & Experience
Multi-skilled engineering experience (welding/fabrication advantageous).
PLC diagnostics, electrical fault finding, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Experience with CNC cutting machines or weld robots is a plus.
Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to work independently.
