Summary

Facilities Manager (on-site)
Starting salary is £41,604 per annum
37 hours, 52 weeks per year
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Estates & Facilities management team at Suffolk New College as a Facility Manager.
Our successful College is growing and we are expanding our team to support this growth. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facility Manager to join the team of two existing site Facility Managers.

You will be the dedicated facility manager for our existing sites at Halesworth and Leiston and support the transformation as we build and occupy a brand-new college at Leiston in partnership with Sizewell C.

In addition to the above, particularly until the new college at Leiston is complete you will work alongside the Ipswich and Rural Managers to coordinate main contractor work and the management of small works projects. You will also support the Director of Estates with large projects and contract management and work with site managers and contractors to ensure all fixed M&E service compliance is up to date.

The successful candidate will ensure our college's facility certification is compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.

Working with the estates team you will need to be able to be self-motivated and proactive with good attention to detail supported by the ability to work effectively within the team of managers across sites.

With responsibilities across all four of the Suffolk New College campuses, you will be required to travel between campuses and therefore you will need to hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle. Initially your role will require you to work at least two days a week at our Ipswich and Rural sites respectively and a minimum of one day a month at our sites at Halesworth and Leiston.

These site location days will change in line with upcoming major new build project at Leiston and it will be expected for you to be based at Leiston a minimum of two days a week. College Travel Policy covers claims for milage to sites outside of your regular place of work at Ipswich or Rural.

At Suffolk New College, we promote the culture of BeSNC. Implementing BeSNC is not just a choice; it's a commitment to providing the best possible environment for our learners to thrive. It's a commitment to nurturing an inclusive and supportive community where each student, staff and community member can reach their full potential.
