What are we looking for?We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated manager with substantial experience in both strategic and operational healthcare management. You will need to demonstrate the ability to deliver against challenging performance and finance targets, whilst still achieving high quality, patient-focused services. Excellent communication, leadership and people management skills, along with a can-do attitude, are essential. The successful post holder will ideally have a proven track record of managing RTT and cancer waiting times. Knowledge of outpatient and diagnostic management is required. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a drive and energy to improve the patient experience. Main duties, continued: To be accountable for nationally set patient access targets including all related cancer waiting time standards and RTT Operational responsibility for clinical and administrative services within the Division including direct management responsibility for staff and delegated budgetary control. This includes all aspects of performance management, recruitment and retention, staff satisfaction and workforce planning Responsible for meeting both the Divisional objectives and the strategic corporate objectives of the organisation and will provide leadership and management support to staff within their areas of management. The role will also focus on the development and implementation of projects working within tight time scales when required. Progress against targets will be presented to the senior divisional leadership team through monthly clinical and business meetings. Alongside the General Manager, Clinical Lead and Matron ensure that the designated specialty maintains thorough clinical governance arrangements, including appropriate response to complaints, clinical incidents, never events and legal matters.
