The post holder will support the development and implantation the clinical strategy that aims to reduce restrictive practice (RRP) in Local Mental Health Services. You will be required to develop and coach clinical and operational staff in designing Quality Improvement Projects around RRP, this will involve the engagement of who clinical teams in order to promote and introduce new ways of working that support a more positive and proactive approach to care that helps reduce the need for restrictive practice.



Within the role you will also be expected to work closely with both the Borough Lead Nurse in addressing gaps in knowledge and promoting good practice in line with current evidence.There is an expectation that you provide senior clinical leadership around the area of RRP which will often involve the assessment and care planning for patients that have been subjected to Restraint/Rapid Tranquilization or Seclusion
