Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Van Driver for a busy distribution company based in Huddersfield (HD1).
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Driving a 3.5T van with an average of 10-15 deliveries a day
- Local and national delivery locations with pre-determined route planning
- To check deliveries and load onto vehicle, ensuring all documents and parts are correct.
- The collection of any returns from the customer in accordance with coimpany returns policies.
- To drive vehicles in a safe manner and within the law, taking into consideration weather and traffic conditions.
- The refuelling of the vehicle after use.
- Establish good relationships with the customer and maintaining a high level of customer care/satisfaction.
- The reporting of any accidents or incidents to your supervisor without delay.
- Completing of vehicle checks and vehicle cleaning, ensuring that vehicles are kept in excellent condition reflecting the high standards of the company.
- To be compliant with all health and safety regulations and policies.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent punctuality and attendance levels
- No more than 6 points on licence
- Previous experience of commercial deliveries
- Customer service skills and taking pride in your own work is essential
Hours:
- Full time role, Monday to Friday
- Various start times between 4am and 8am
- Average 8/9 hour days
- Flexibility will be required
Salary:
- £27.5k annual salary
