Summary


Join our team and help create a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and staff at Sherwood Forest Hospitals.

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to co-ordinate all facilities services within the ward/department area. Working as part of the clinical team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining national and local standards.

About the Role
• Work alongside the Ward/Department Sister to monitor and maintain cleaning standards.
• Support audits and compliance with key standards such as:• Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE)
• Mattress audits
• Food and Hygiene standards
• Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
• Key responsibilities include:• Spot cleaning and ensuring sanitary areas are checked regularly.
• Reporting environmental issues to the Help Desk and ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintaining ward appearance, including clutter removal, signage, and notice boards.
• Liaising with Housekeeping for specialist cleaning (e.g., carpets, curtains).
• Welcoming patients and visitors and supporting their comfort.
• Ensuring safe storage and cleanliness of ward equipment.
