Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Herbicide Application Operative to carry out targeted weed control across public, commercial, or agricultural sites. This role is essential to maintaining healthy landscapes and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Apply herbicides using knapsack sprayers, boom sprayers, or vehicle-mounted systems.
• Identify invasive or unwanted plant species and select appropriate treatment methods.
• Follow COSHH and environmental safety guidelines for chemical handling and application.
• Maintain accurate records of herbicide use, site conditions, and treatment outcomes.
• Inspect and maintain spraying equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Communicate with site managers or clients regarding treatment schedules and safety precautions.
• Monitor treated areas for effectiveness and follow up as needed.

Requirements
• Valid PA1 and PA6 certification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or agricultural spraying.
• Strong understanding of herbicide types, application techniques, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good physical fitness and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence may be required for mobile roles.
