Summary
The Galtres Centre provides facilities and activities for the community providing a safe place of connection for everyone.
The role of the Bar Manager is to run, maintain and coordinate volunteers to assist with staffing the bar at the Galtres Centre for events when required ranging from live performances to funerals.
Managing all business aspects of the bar.
Running the bar in accordance with best practice to maximise gross-profit-margin
Ensuring understanding of and compliance with all licence conditions
Maintaining a pool of casual volunteer bar staff, recruiting, inducting and training new starters and supervising volunteers during shifts
Work with the office staff to create rotas, resolving any issues to ensure that bar is well-staffed during peak hours.
Ensuring safety of bar staff and customers through good housekeeping
Cash up at the end of every shift
Cellar and stock management including overseeing receipt of deliveries, stock-takes and reordering supplies in accordance with consumption
Ensuring the Bar areas are safe, clean, tidy and presentable to the public at all times, including carrying out regular line cleans
Deal with suppliers representatives, engineers and technicians regarding new products or faults
Personal License
Ideally hold a personal license or be prepared to undertake take training to obtain one
