Our Story

Worldwide Events is the parent company behind two highly successful event brands: M&I and Private Luxury Events, each serving distinct sectors of the global travel and events industry.

We bring people together and facilitate strong relationships, connecting people on a human level first, business second. We call this H2H connection, and it is at the heart of everything we do.

At Private Luxury Events, we're not just creating events, we create moments that connect, inspire, and redefine luxury travel. As pioneers in crafting extraordinary experiences, we've been uniting leaders and trend-setters in the travel and events industry for over 20 years in unforgettable destinations around the world.

We’re unveiling something extraordinary: a major new event designed for a new generation of travel leaders. More than an event, it’s a movement redefining how innovation, experience, and connection come together in the global travel space.

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Business Development Manager to support the commercial launch and growth of a new event within the Private Luxury portfolio.

You will play an important, practical role in driving exhibitor acquisition, building relationships across key global regions, and supporting the event’s successful introduction to the market.

- Translate strategic objectives into actionable sales plans.
- Help develop market positioning, target exhibitor lists, and participation criteria.
- Conduct market, competitor, and client research.
- Ensure cohesive product rollout and alignment.

Regional Market Development

- Drive commercial growth across your assigned global regions by securing new exhibitors and strengthening relationships with existing partners.
- Identify and develop opportunities with luxury hotels, DMCs, tourism boards, and high-end travel brands.
- Provide regional insights and feedback.
- Represent the new product in the market.

Team Leadership & Development

- Manage and support two Business Development Managers.
- Provide coaching, direction, and day-to-day support.
- Monitor activity levels, pipelines, and progress.
- Lead by example to enhance commercial discipline, CRM accuracy, and strong relationship management.

Commercial Execution & Reporting

- Own commercial delivery for your assigned regions and contribute to the overall revenue targets.
- Manage accurate pipeline development, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
- Provide regular commercial updates and insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise exhibitor experience, retention, and commercial outcomes.

Event Participation & Stakeholder Engagement

- Represent the new product and broader Private Luxury Events portfolio at exhibitions, industry gatherings, and networking forums.
- Lead commercial meetings and relationship-building opportunities.
- Support your BDM team’s engagement with clients during events.

CRM & Process Management

- Maintain accurate commercial data and forecasting.
- Ensure your team follows consistent reporting processes.
- Create clear, structured updates and analysis.

Requirements

You are a commercially strong relationship-builder who understands how to work within a luxury global landscape, and brings experience developing strong market connections.

You’ll bring:

- Proven track record in business development or sales within luxury travel, hospitality, lifestyle, or events.
- Experience supporting commercial or product launches, with an understanding of how to execute leadership-led strategies.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members.
- Strong regional market knowledge and an established network within luxury travel or lifestyle sectors.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging senior decision-makers.
