Our general and specialist rotations include:



· Stroke Rehabilitation & Community Stroke Service

· Acute Older Peoples Services

· Critical Care with Surgery

· Surgery, Amputee Rehabilitation & Critical Care

· Acute Medicine with the following specialties: endocrinology, neurology & respiratory.

· Orthopaedics

· Emergency Therapy Team - Frailty unit, Accident & Emergency, Acute Assessment Unit

You will be involved in Quality Improvement projects, have students, participate in weekend working and the emergency respiratory on-call rota, supported by band 7 OT and PT team leads and the OT/PT Clinical Leads. We have a Trust’s Appraisal system and a Band 7 Practice Development Physiotherapist.

HCPC registration and previous NHS experience is essential for this post.

All interviews will be conducted face to face



Take full professional accountability for managing your own caseload, providing comprehensive assessments, accurate diagnoses, and evidence-based physiotherapy treatments for patients with complex conditions. Deliver individualized care plans using advanced clinical reasoning, manual therapy, exercise, and patient education. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan discharges and ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records, manage clinical risks, and uphold confidentiality and data protection standards.

Participate in weekend, on-call, and emergency respiratory rotas, offering specialist advice to medical and nursing staff. Supervise junior staff, students, and support workers, contributing to their learning and performance assessments. Engage actively in CPD, maintaining competency across rotations and documenting professional growth. Promote evidence-based practice through audits, research, and service improvement initiatives.

Represent physiotherapy in MDT meetings, ensuring integrated patient care. Demonstrate flexibility across Trust sites, adapting to service needs. Take on leadership and operational responsibilities when required, managing caseloads efficiently while upholding high clinical, professional, and ethical standards.
