Summary

Cleaner & Light Maintenance Operative

Chester | £16.50 per hour | Temporary | This role supports the upkeep of a busy railway station, ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for staff and passengers.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Cleaner & Light Maintenance Operative to maintain a busy railway station. The role includes both cleaning and light maintenance to uphold high standards across the facilities.

Key Duties
  • Carry out general daily cleaning and light maintenance across the station.

  • Clean office spaces, toilets, stairwells, lifts and pathways.

  • Clean and tidy platforms to ensure a safe and presentable environment.

  • Weed outside areas and maintain planters.

  • Ensure fixtures and fittings are in good working order.

  • Report any faults or issues requiring further attention.

  • Work independently and maintain high standards of station presentation.

Requirements
  • Previous cleaning, facilities or maintenance experience desirable.

  • Proactive, hands-on attitude with attention to detail.

  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

  • Physically fit and able to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

  • Strong awareness of health and safety.
