Are you an experience Cardiac Physiologist / Scientist looking for a new challenge in 2026?
Do you want to be part of an enthusiastic team who are recognised for the training and development of its staff in a world-renowned hospital? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity. We are looking for a trained physiologist/clinical scientist who'd like to expand their existing knowledge and clinical experience in non-invasive cardiology.

We are looking for a person who is highly experienced and enthusiastic in leading Exercise testing (ETT) including Cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPEX) in a range of patients.
You will be an expert who enjoys teaching, you will share your knowledge with juniors and students who are training in ETT and CPEX.
You will also be an expert in 12 lead ECG (holding the SCST diploma) as you will be the point of contact for the ECG team for any queries they have during the day.

Our busy Cardiac outpatient department runs a variety of diagnostic tests both alongside Consultant and Physiologist led clinics as well as accepting GP referrals. As a tertiary centre we see a wide range of cardiovascular pathologies including Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD), Heart Failure and Inherited Cardiac Conditions. Tests also includeAjmaline studies, Holter analysis (24- 30 day duration) in both standard and high lead placements, Implantable Loop recorder implants and analysis.

We carry out a range of invasiveproceduressuch as Transcatheter Aortic Valve implantation (TAVI), Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) PCI, PFO closures, Right Heart catheterisation, left atrial appendage occlusion devices, Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), Impella. If you already have sufficient cath lab experience then may be possible for you to maintain your invasive skills by working in the labs. Once signed off you would be expected to be part of the onsite on call PAMI service which serves a large catchment area.

As part of the clinical Group – Heart Lung and Critical Care we work with colleagues at the Brompton and Harefield sites to provide a cardiology services that spans the entire spectrum of cardiac disease from foetal and congenital, through structural and imaging to heart failure and transplant. We are one of the foremost education providers for cardiac science with programmes from level 2 (Apprentice) to doctoral (HSST).
