About you – You’ll be…
• Organised, reliable, and comfortable making numbers behave.

• Calm under pressure, able to juggle tasks, and keep a sense of humour!
• A Team player who helps make our school culture warm and collaborative.
• Enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to every child’s success.
Finance experience is welcome, but not essential – if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn, we’ll happily help you develop the skills you need.
What you’ll be doing…
• Keeping our finance systems humming so staff and students get what they need – without drama.
• Crunching numbers, raising orders, processing invoices, and keeping bank transactions in check.
• Supporting budget holders and helping the school make every penny count.
• Answering questions from colleagues and suppliers clearly and accurately, so everyone can be on the same page.
• Keeping records accurate, compliant, and audit-ready (we promise it’s not as scary as it sounds).
• Handling sensitive info like a secret agent – confidentiality is your superpower.
What the school offers its staff
Why join us?
• The chance to make a huge difference in the lives of young people, one small victory at a time.
• Comprehensive support, Induction and training package
• We’re a supportive team who’ll have your back during the good, the bad, and the “Did that really just happen?” moments.
• Professional development opportunities because we’re all about helping you grow, both as a person and in your ability to juggle six things at once!
• You will be part of an inclusive and collaborative team that, no matter what the challenge may be, are ready to face it head on and are committed to seeing it through.
• A rewarding role where no two days are the same and every day makes a difference!
• The opportunity to develop your career in a School and Southern Education Trust, a growing Trust.
Further details about the role
Are you driven by the idea of making a real difference to young people who need someone in their corner? Do you want your work to do more than balance budgets – to genuinely support a school that transforms lives?

And behind every moment of progress – every small step forward – is a team working hard to keep the school running safely, smoothly and with care. That’s where you come in…
This isn’t just a finance job – it’s a chance to help create the stable foundations our students rely on every day.
If you’re the kind of person who wants your work to really matter, we’d love to hear from you.
