Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
At Winton Primary School, we’re all about creating a place where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn – whether it’s in the classroom or at lunch! We believe that lunchtimes should be a moment for children to recharge and enjoy good food with their friends.
That’s why we need you – our next Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant – to join our team and help us keep things running smoothly while ensuring our children enjoy a safe and hygienic environment. Think of it as your chance to make a real difference in our school while keeping everything working like clockwork.
You’ll do this by:
• Undertaking Servery duties such as:
• Assisting with setting up, clearing away the main hall and ensuring the area remains clean/tidy.
• Helping children with used food trays to correctly dispose of leftovers and rubbish and to ensure trays are returned to the Servery for cleaning
• Help to clean and tidy up equipment, washing up any items used during service, i.e. trays, beakers and cutlery.
• Spot mop and sweep the hall floor area, disposing of any rubbish.
• As well as:
• Supervising children in the dining hall, ensuring their safety and wellbeing
• Encouraging polite table manners, good hygiene and making sure the children are eating well
• Keeping things peaceful – you’ll be a vital part of making lunchtime a positive experience.
What we’re looking for:
• A kind, enthusiastic, and reliable individual with a love for working with children
• A positive role model and a friendly face
• Someone who is patient, empathetic, and whom has a whole lot of energy!
No experience – no problem! We’ll provide all the training you need. At Winton Primary School our mission is to inspire, motivate and challenge all children so that they become confident, caring, and lifelong learners.
What the school offers its staff
Why join us:
• The chance to make a difference in the lives of children
• It’s a job with heart – We’re not just about education, we’re about building confidence, spreading joy, and creating meaningful connections that will stay with you for life.
• We’re an amazing team who are all in it together and we’ve got your back during the good, the bad, and the “Did that really just happen?” moments.
• Comprehensive support, induction and training package; as well as professional development opportunities because we’re all about helping you grow, both as a person and in your ability to juggle six things at once!
