Your role:
You will play a key part in driving performance of the Building Repairs and Maintenance Team, supervising framework contractors, whether it is planned or responsive, tenanted or void properties. You will be responsible for the supervision of contracted works through to completion ensuring a visible on-site presence.
You will supervise contracted works and ensure all Health and Safety regulations and CDM regulations are followed. You will be a point of contact for customer complaints and will provide robust responses that are completed within the specified time frames. You will play a key role to ensure we are a customer focused service with a “get it right first time” approach.
You will help to drive and improve operational performance and help to identify and remove any barriers that could hinder the improvement of the service.
You will be required to support the Works Delivery Team Managers and play an active role in identifying priorities, improving service delivery and shaping the future of the property maintenance service.
About you:
Our ideal candidate will hold a relevant management, health & Safety qualification(s), have a trade background and have experience of working in the construction industry.
You will have experience of supervising an operational team within a housing repairs and maintenance service in social housing and of supervising work in line with Health and Safety and CDM regulations.
You will have the ability to plan and organise your workload effectively ensuring that you are able to deal with shifting deadlines to deliver the highest quality service.
You will have the ability to work as part of a team or own your own initiative, with excellent decision-making skills and to break down problems and provide innovative and appropriate solutions.
As a Contracting Works Supervisor, you will have knowledge and awareness of best practice construction methods and be passionate about providing excellent services and ensuring site admin and processing are completed accurately and on time.
