Salary range Band 7 (£33,557 to £35,881 per annum pro rata)

About the Role
We are expanding our SEN Advisory Service and developing our Early Years Team to promote inclusion within Trafford Early Years settings and support the effective implementation of the SEND Code of Practice. We are looking for experienced Early Years practitioners to develop the Early Years SEND workforce and ensure inclusive early learning environments. As Early Years Area SENCo you will provide advice and practical support to Early Years settings about approaches to identification and assessment of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and interventions to support a child’s SEND needs and achieve positive outcomes. You will provide guidance to implement Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP) and the graduated response, and support settings to complete relevant documentation to meet a child’s SEND needs.
About you
You will have extensive experience of meeting the needs of early years’ children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will demonstrate inclusive practice and work closely with SENCOs, staff in Early Years settings, families and multi-agency professionals from education, health and social care to ensure positive outcomes for children with SEND. You will be able to work independently and have the ability to organise, plan and prioritise your workload and manage high priority conflicting tasks and issues. You will be able to work collaboratively to develop and deliver training for individual settings and on a wider basis to continue to develop the Early Years workforce.
