Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights? We are looking for an experienced BI & Analytics Specialist to join our dynamic Business Improvement & Change team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by leveraging data to drive smarter decisions across the Group.
Reporting to Gentoo’s Business Intelligence Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we use data. From designing and delivering insightful dashboards to collaborating with stakeholders on reporting needs, your expertise will help us identify trends, uncover opportunities, and improve performance.
This position is subject to a basic DBS check, which will be arranged and paid for by Gentoo.
What you’ll do:
Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
Design and develop visually compelling dashboards using leading BI tools.
Guide colleagues on interpreting data and using insights to drive operational decisions.
Contribute to projects and initiatives by delivering actionable insights that support business cases and benefits realisation.
Identify opportunities to apply BI technology to enhance processes and performance.
Manage and resolve reporting-related service desk items in line with agreed SLAs.
What we’re looking for:
Experience & Knowledge:
Demonstrable experience with ITSM tools (e.g. JIRA).
A highly developed understanding of data infrastructure, architecture, and integration.
Knowledge of regulatory reporting and data governance best practices.
Proven ability to build effective relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in enterprise BI tools such as QlikView and Power BI.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages: SQL, Excel, Python, DAX.
Ability to scope requirements accurately and continuously improve report usability.
Attributes:

Strong communicator who can simplify complex ideas.
Dedicated to continuous learning and professional development.
It would be great if you also had:
Experience in training and coaching operational teams.
Microsoft certifications or equivalent.
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and related cloud technologies.
